Can I take CBD everyday?
CBD is more and more getting popular by the day. We are finding it in grocery stores, salons, chiropractor offices and of course stores like Nothing But Hemp that specialize in CBD. We are hearing all kinds of aliments that CBD can treat, but very limited amount of people are talking about how CBD can potentially help with overall health. I like to look at taking CBD like a daily vitamin. Why? Because our clients tell us how CBD has helped their overall lives. Before we go into how CBD has helped them, myself and my family members. First you need to have a clear understanding on how CBD works within the body. CBD oil is a natural stimulator of the bodies endocannabiniods system. It works different than THC, it wont get you high, some studies have found that CBD helps produce more endocannabiods that allows the user to feel good, help control anxiety and even impact our sleep in a positive way. THC is a whole different world, it gets users high. THC actually stimulates endocannabiod system similar to a drug. Whereas CBD promotes the natural production of something. You are not changing anything to your body. Your body goes more into a state of homeostasis. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/cbd-oil-benefits https://www.nothingbuthemp.net/post/more-people-are-ditching-pharmaceuticals-for-cbd-oil
Why CBG might be the new CBD
Cannabigerol or CBG Is a cannabinoid found in the hemp cannabis plant. CBG is the precursor too CBD and THC. I like to call it the mother to all cannabinoids, some people may even call it the stem cell to all the other cannabis cannabinoids like CBD, THC, CBC, CBDA. Pretty amazing cannabinoids. CBG has a lot of medical potential. Some Users have experienced relief because of the the potential anti depression properties and anti tumor properties. Some scientific evidence has shown that CBG inhibits GABA uptake. Gaba is a neurotransmitter in the brain, when gaba is inhibited you have anti anxiety & anti depression effects, many users who anxiety, depression choose CBG over CBD because it may directly effect Gaba intake in the body better than CBD. Remember if you choose to take CBG, consult with your doctor first.
What are terpenes and why do they matter?
What are terpenes and why do they matter? Terpenes are organic compounds found in cannabis and other plants. Many terpenes may have the ability to enhance effects of CBD and THC. Users call this the entourage effect. Terpenes are known to effect taste, effect users high, and some studies have shown to produce many different medical benefits. Dr. Ethan Russo a neurologist and researcher of cannabinoids and terpenes said “terpenes and cannabinoids effect one another in the body’s endocannabinoid system” In one of his studies he found that terpenes can either increase or decrease the effects of THC. For example in one of his studies he found Myrcene to increase the effects of THC by inducing sedation, and provide anti-inflammatory , and anti-cancer. While Limonene, increased energy and showed positive results for anti depressant. Dr. Russo revealed that terpenes “could produce synergy with respect to treatment of pain, inflammation, depression, anxiety, addiction, epilepsy, cancer, fungal and bacterial infections.” With this scientific research and awareness of the medical benefits of terpenes we find it important you know the details and how terpenes can benefit you in your cannabis journey. Nearly all of the major terpenes in hemp, are either (anti-pain) or anti-inflammatory. What amazing plant. We have loads more to learn about the benefits of terpenes, CBD, THC and other cannabinoids. Stay tuned to more video about the benefits of individual terpenes. Sources: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6334252/ https://www.projectcbd.org/science/terpenes-and-entourage-effect
Why Limonene Terpene in hemp is so important!
Let's talk Limonene Terpenes. They are found in hemp, marijuana, limes, grapefruit and oranges. Limonene has a nice citrusy aroma and people say it can help boost your mood, help with metabolism, fight depression, reduce anxiety and get rid of heart burn. One of my favorite things about how limonene is that it makes me feel alert. Some research shows when limonene is combined with cannabinoids and other terpenes the effects can multiply. A study from 2017, they found in rats that limonene can lessen inflammation and increase antioxidant levels in your digestive tract. Because of this some users with ulcers believe this is the go to terpene. Limonene was also found in this study to ease metabolic disorders and promote weight loss. People with high blood pressure, obesity, high blood sugar have been saying this is a terpene that works well in their daily regiment. With new viruses and flu being ramped this year limonene may not be a bad choice to consider as immune system booster. In several studies, healthy mice who were administered limonene showed significant more antibodies after being exposed to foreign antigens and also showed to increase more white blood cells. Thanks again for watching today, this week we will keep on focusing on terpenes and what they mean for you. Please like, share, comment and subscribe. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28260017
Why Myrcene is important in your hemp.
Mrycene is found in hemp, marijuana, basil, mangos and other plants. It is known for its relaxing and sedating effects. Some studies show that Mrcyene protects the blood Brain barrier from foreign substances. In a study performed on mice, myrcene increased sleep duration by around 2.6 times (6). found in hemp, marijuana, basil, mangos and other plants. It is known for its relaxing and sedating effects. Does CBD help with your immune system?
In short answer, kind of. CBD was shown in a recent study to decrease symptoms of some viruses, but NOT get rid of the virus. For example, if you have a sore throat or major inflammation because of a virus, CBD may help reduce the inflammation. Some scientist believe that CBD can lessen the length of a virus. What I found most fascinating in a recent study is the possible antibiotic effects CBD has to offer. Dr Mark Blaskovich Senior Research Officer of Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland in Australia tested a wide variety of bacteria, including the bacterias that have become resistant to the most commonly used antibiotics. In his study he found that CBD killed bacteria faster than some common antibiotics. CBD killed the bacteria within 3 hours compared to common antibiotic medicine (6 to 8) hours. Blaskovich stated that he found CBD effective for pneumonia, strep throat and other “gram positive” bacteria strains. The lab studies also showed that "CBD is much less likely to cause resistance than the existing antibiotics," Blaskovich says. In another study it showed that CBD may weaken your immune system. So that is what I mean of kind of… Whether CBD oil will strengthen or weaken your immune system will depend heavily on your personal health, according to multiple researchers. With the Flu, Step throat and the Novel Coronavirus lingering in United States, CBD may be an option for you to think about taking to help combat these illnesses, but more research needs to be concluded. If you see an advertisements that CBD is going to cure Coronavirus… stay far away, because there is no hard evidence that it is a cure for your immune system.
What is Alpha-Pinene?
Today we are going to talk about another one of my favorite terpene Alpha-Pinene. Alpha-Pinene is found in hemp, marijuana, pine needles, rosemary and basil. In 2012 there was a study that showed a-pinene was a potent anti-inflammatory agent against Acute Pancreatitis. A-pinene was also shown to have synergistic anti-inflammatory effects when paired with cannabinoids like THC and CBD. The results were quite amazing, especially the results behind arthritis and Crohn's disease. In a study in 2011, researchers found Alpha-Pinene was tested as a positive alternative treatment against bronchitis, certain bacterial and fungal infections. In a study conducted on mice, they found that Alpha-Pinene was a strong bronchodilator and maybe good for people with asthma. Memory is another area Alpha-Pinene can potentially help people. Some studies showed that it may counteract memory impairments for people who like to smoke the green sicky icky. If your not a stoner, or someone who smokes pot, it has shown to help retain memory and focus. My ADD friends this might be the terpene for you. Another one of my favorite potential health benefits is cancer-fighting abilities slowing down tumor growth with certain types of skin cancer. This is nothing new, the Chinese have been using this for years by using the oil from pine-needles to combat skin cancer. Please note, Alpha-Pinene is not a cure-all and more studies need to be performed. Before using Alpha-pinene or any type of cannabis product - consult with your doctor. Thanks for watching another Nothing But Hemp episode on terpenes. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Does CBD oil help with weight loss and appetite? | CBD Weight Loss | CBD Appetite Suppressant?
How Can CBD Contribute to Weight Loss? It's important to understand that CBD isn't a magic oil that lets you eat whatever you want and not put on weight. Instead, it's a supplement that can help you to make certain lifestyle changes that are conducive to weight loss. It affects your body at a hormonal level without causing any distracting effects, making losing weight easier. CBD oil supports you weight loss efforts in three ways. Appetite Suppressant It's pretty well known that THC is an appetite stimulant. When using CBD oil for weight loss, it's crucial that you choose a low THC CBD oil. Unlike its psychoactive cousin, cannabidiol is thought to increase the sensitivity of the hypothalamus. This crucial part of our brain is responsible for maintaining homeostasis, which includes regulating hunger and stress levels. When your hypothalamus is sensitive, you're more in tune with hunger signals and the signals that tell you you're full. When people say CBD is an appetite suppressant, it's because of its affect on this region of the brain. Normalizes Insulin Levels You might have only ever heard on insulin in relation to people with diabetes, but it's actually crucial that everyone pays attention to this hormone. When insulin is high, your body finds it almost impossible to burn fat. Our bodies are very smart. Over thousands of years, we've adapted to become fat-storing machines. Prior to the industrial revolution and mass production, hunger was rife. Relative to how long humans have existed, we haven't had unlimited access to food for very long at all. In the modern era, this has two consequences: our bodies store a lot of fat and food cravings override our hormonal signals. Even if you've adapted your lifestyle to include plenty of exercise and a healthy diet, high insulin could be hindering your weight loss goals. CBD oil for weight loss works by reducing insulin, especially during a fasted state. When insulin levels are low, losing weight is markedly easier. Turns White Adipose Tissue Into Brown Adipose Tissue The role CBD oil plays in weight loss is further enhanced by the effect it has on CB1 and CB2 receptors. Scientists believe CB1 receptors are mainly in the brain, while CB2 receptors are located throughout the body. CBD seems to somewhat inhibit CB1 receptors, which helps reduce food intake and body weight. It stimulates CB2 receptors which limits inflammation and seems to be the main driving force between appetite reduction and CBD-related weight loss. CB receptors are also responsible for transforming white adipose tissue — or fat — into brown adipose tissue. White fat is adipose tissue in a stored state, whereas brown fat is ready for you to burn as energy. What Is Full-Spectrum CBD Oil? There are more than 200 compounds in hemp. CBD is just one of many plant-based supermolecules within it, and many of them can contribute to weight loss, too. Full-spectrum describes CBD oil includes all of its other terpenes and cannabinoids, including THC at a non-psychoactive level. Terpenes and Weight Loss Terpenes will never show up on a drug test or have a psychoactive impact on you. They're compounds that exist in plants, which have extraordinary health benefits for us. They often have multiple uses, so a terpene that's good for weight loss could also be excellent for joint pain and inflammation. Full-spectrum CBD oil tends to include the naturally occurring terpenes from the cannabis plant. Some of the best terpenes for weight loss include: Limonene You can find this terpene in the resin of flowers and citrus fruit rinds. Lemons, grapefruit and oranges are rich in limonene, but it's also found in the hemp plant. It's thought to naturally regulate weight and it contains several anti-inflammatory properties. Regular use of this terpene can positively impact the metabolism and even suppress appetite. Camphene As a mono-terpene, camphene is a little bit special. It has a piney, earthy scent and is believed to help prevent cardiovascular disease. It's also showed promising signs of lowering triglyceride levels. Additionally, it might even improve digestive function, which can further aid your weight loss efforts. As mentioned earlier, it's important to note that CBD oil for weight loss is ideal as a supplement to a healthy diet and regular exercise. While these cannabinoid and terpenes have incredible effects on the body, they can't fix a bad diet of lack of exercise. Humulene Most cannabis strains contain humulene. When it has to contend with THC, one of its biggest advantages is overshadowed — it's an appetite suppressant. If you have humulene as part of CBD oil, its weight loss prowess shines through. It's thought to decrease the occurrence of sugar cravings and help you to eat less.
