Our bodies are home to countless cannabinoid receptors, and because of this, a number of isolated cannabis compounds are able to miraculously work like keys that turn on the receptors. As a result, these cannabis compounds provide a wonderful solution for a myriad of health complaints including chronic pain. And unlike pharmaceutical drugs, there are no side effects.
There are two classes of cannabinoids which occur in nature: endocannabinoids (the cannabinoids generated by the body), and phytocannabinoids (which are made by plants). They both work within the body's ECS (endocannabinoid system). Hemp and cannabis produce these incredible phyto cannabinoids: hemp produces CBD, and cannabis produces THC. At the present time, hemp is hitting the headlines all over the world, as people can use it to bring back their health, without getting high .
Big Pharma Moves To Squash All Competition
As one might expect, Big Pharma does not want its multi-billion dollar income to suffer from a popular natural medicine that is easily available, and they certainly do not want people who are already addicted to their patented medicine to jump ship to Mother Nature. Further, it is: “estimated that if Cannabis were legalized in all 50 states, Big Pharma would lose out on at least $500 million in annual revenue as people replace their prescription pills with medical cannabis” . Because of this, Big Pharma's top lawyers are hard at work producing legislation that will outlaw CBD oil, and other such products.
To a couple of examples: “lobbyists for GW Pharmaceuticals and its U.S. subsidiary, Greenwich BioSciences, fought for an amendment to the bill that would have limited CBD rescheduling to products approved by FDA, to make CBD legally obtainable” which means that GW Pharmaceuticals acted to ensure that only CBD drugs could be legally purchased.
And when legislation in South Dakota was being drawn up to: remove cannabidiol from the marijuana category, and reclassify it to a Schedule 5 drug; Big Pharma went for the jugular. They vied for an amendment which specified that the only legally acceptable CBD products should be FDA-approved. This means that because the CBD market currently stands in legalized states, it would compel Big Pharma's competition to be FDA approved as well - something that demands a fortune, which needless to say, most CBD manufacturers do not have .
In summary, it is very likely that pharmacological strength CBD products will enter the market. This means that the ferocious CBD war taking place right now, will soon be overtaken by a different war – one about the cost of treatment: Big Pharma pills that cost a fortune vs natural CBD pill and oil products from manufacturers which charge reasonable affordable prices. Ultimately, it is the patients who will pay the cost, and not just with their health, but their lives. The for action is upon us...
