Clothing chain Abercrombie & Fitch will soon carry CBD products, marking yet another signpost in the road to cannabis’ mainstream prevalence that has defined 2019.

The brand of stores and clothing lines, known for marketing to teens, will now feature a pilot of its new partnership with Green Growth Brands, a company that makes a line of CBD offerings. The products will be sold at 160 locations of Abercrombie & Fitch.

According to CNBC coverage, the CBD market could reach a $22 billion valuation by 2022, at least by the reckoning of industry researchers at Brightfield Group. [1]

Rumors in the past months have centered on whether retail giants like Target and Walmart would get into the business of purveying CBD, and the move by Abercrombie & Fitch is perhaps a surprise.

Still, the partnership with GGB reportedly stretches back to pilots at 10 store locations in May. Thursday, multiple sources confirmed that the program was expanding. The expansion is considerable, as the Abercrombie & Fitch brand only operates some 250 store locations overall. [3]

“Abercrombie & Fitch understands how to connect with their target-customer ... across the globe,” Green Growth Brands CEO Peter Horvath told CNBC. “They have incredible brand recognition in our current target markets and beyond.” [1]

Green Growth offers a litany of CBD products that customers will be able to find at their local A&F location in the near future. These include lotions, lip balms, balms and sugar scrubs. [1]

Of their products, Abercrombie will carry those included in GGB’s Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy line, according to a Thursday press release. [4]

Abercrombie stores may have drawn crowds of interested teens using sleek flip phones back in the early oughts, but those seeking a shopping experience with lighting bright enough to let them read the terpene levels may want to go elsewhere.

Indeed, the modern CBD enthusiast, whether they have spent long years in anticipation of the 2018 Farm Bill which legalized hemp or look to try cannabidiol for the first time, needs an expert with an atmosphere they find comforting.

That’s precisely what Nothing But Hemp offers its customers. With four locations in Minnesota’s Twin Cities and one in Tampa, Florida, American customers can be sure they will find the expertise and products they can rely on in CBD.

With a tight-knit group of leaders with expertise in the cannabis and retail industries, plus an award-winning and industry-leading offering of products, Nothing But Hemp has something for everyone.
